SonicWall has reaffirmed its position as a leader in network security, becoming the only vendor to achieve a 100% detection and blocking rate across all threat categories in the 2025 NetSecOPEN independent validation tests. The results, produced by the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) under RFC 9411 benchmarking standards, mark the second year in a row that SonicWall has delivered flawless performance - an achievement unmatched by any other participant.

The annual testing evaluates products using real-world traffic volumes and a broad spectrum of cyber threats. SonicWall earned perfect scores in detecting and blocking exploits targeting public and private CVEs, malware samples representing diverse attack vectors, and protocol-level evasions engineered to bypass inspection systems. The consistency of these results underscores SonicWall’s technical maturity amid an evolving threat landscape.

“This significant milestone is the result of disciplined engineering, rigorous testing and an unwavering commitment to our customers’ security,” said Alex Dubrovsky, Vice President of Software Engineering and Threat Research at SonicWall. “No other vendor has achieved this accomplishment once, let alone in consecutive years.”

Beyond threat accuracy, the tests stress performance under production-level traffic loads. SonicWall’s firewall maintained perfect protection while delivering up to 6.5 Gbps of HTTP throughput and up to 3.6 Gbps for HTTPS with threat prevention and TLS decryption enabled. These results demonstrate that organisations don’t have to choose between strong security and high-speed performance.

With another year of perfect validation results, SonicWall continues to set the benchmark for next-generation firewall protection, delivering independently verified performance as cyber threats and network demands grow more complex.
